How it works
Make sure the right people find out quickly — and only when it matters. Here's exactly what the Patch does, what the phone does, and what happens for the people she chose.

Small and discreet, worn on the body under clothing. It reads movement on the device itself and recognizes fall-like events and long stillness.

Runs on the wearer's phone, paired over Bluetooth. It holds the countdown and hands the event on. Contacts and their order are set here, once.

Called one at a time, in the order she chose — up to five — with texts carrying her location one step ahead, until someone confirms.
Veltix Home Hub Optional Her phone passes the Patch's alerts on, so it works best close by. For the times it isn't — in another room, in a larger or multi-floor home, out in the garden, or switched off — the optional Home Hub stays at home and passes alerts on over Wi-Fi instead. Home Hub pricing

01
A fall-like movement, or a stillness that lasts far longer than usual, is recognized on the Patch itself.

02
60 seconds by default, and adjustable in settings. One tap on “I'm OK” ends it — nobody is contacted.

03
Veltix calls the first person on her list and, at the same moment, texts her location to the first two. No answer? It calls the next person while texting the one after — and keeps going until someone confirms. Up to five contacts.

04
A contact confirms they're responding. From there, people decide what happens next. Veltix never calls 112 on its own.
Set up once — by the family, if she'd rather. Pair the Patch, add contacts and put them in order. After that the app stays out of the way.
Optional Family Activity View
Inside the same Veltix app, a relative can choose Family Activity View. With a code from the wearer, they see an everyday activity overview — and get a notification in the app if something needs attention.

1 · Relative's phone
…and chooses “Stay Connected with a Relative” instead of “I wear the patch”.

2 · Wearer's phone
On the wearer's phone, Family Activity View gives a one-time, 8-character code to read out.
8-character code · works once · 30 min

3 · Relative's phone
The code works once and expires after 30 minutes.

4 · Relative's phone
Movement over recent checks, the longest still stretch, the last report — with the app's own note that it's a movement measure, not a medical reading.
Only someone the wearer gives a pairing code to can connect. The 8-character code works once and expires after 30 minutes.
A relative's phone can't control the Patch or cancel an alert. Only the wearer can.
It shows movement: how often recent checks found her moving, the longest still stretch, when the Patch last reported. It isn't a medical reading.
Alerts work the same with or without it. It's a role in the same Veltix app, not a separate product.
Real Veltix app screens. The role and pairing screens are shown cropped.
The final design
Compact and skin-toned, with nothing to press and no screen. It's designed to be worn discreetly on the body, under everyday clothes. The specifications below are design targets for the first release.

A safety product that hides its conditions isn't safe. These are ours.
A charged Patch. Multi-day battery, but it does need charging. The app shows the level and can warn before it runs out.
Her phone nearby — or the Home Hub. The Patch talks to her phone over Bluetooth, and the phone passes the alert on. At home, the optional Home Hub can do that over Wi-Fi when the phone isn't close.
A connection. Calls and texts need a network: mobile coverage for the phone, or home Wi-Fi for the Home Hub.
At least one contact. Veltix has nobody to call until someone is added. Setup asks for one before it finishes.
